But every once in a while as a fan and a alumni, it stings a little to not even be considered as someone they would like to come back around.” Meadows continued on getting harsher with his thoughts saying that he was a nobody and even going as extreme as saying “I will never watch SNL again.”įinally, with some help from Chris Rock and Laraine Newman (both are SNL Alumni) on Facebook, and some mimosas Meadows seemed to calm down saying, “I feel better and after a mimosa I take back everything I said before!” Things looked to be a touch brighter for Meadows who posted “Thanks everyone for all your kind comments. People interjected with their thoughts while Meadows stayed quite for a bit until sharing more of his feelings in a post, “I guess it just dawned on me that I mean NOTHING to them…I’m just being overly sensitive. Posting “Not even a ‘hey would you want to come to do one line and bring your kids to see 5 directions…?’ nothing… wow…” He went on to say “I guess I know my place…” Tons of Meadows’ friends commented on his status, but Meadows wasn’t done either. “They did Brasky with out me…” Meadows posted. Ok, vent and share frustration might be too light, Meadows was plain old pissed off about it. Meadows took to Facebook to vent and share some frustration on the situation. A sketch that he was total regular in! One other thing to consider, Meadows has only been asked back twice since leaving the show 13 years ago, a number that Kristen Wiig has already matched since leaving…last year. So what was the problem? The problem was Tim Meadows, another SNL great, not getting asked to join in on the loved sketch. Killam also made sense because you can’t have a sketch without any of the present cast members. Adding to that was that Adam McKay, who’d written the originals, wrote the sketch. Having Ferrell and Koechner there with Rudd only made sense with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hitting theaters soon. Trey: And Democrats, really? What voodoo do you expect to employ to get us to believe this bill will provide health care to all Americans without spending a dime?! I mean really?! I mean I realize that the national deficit is so incredibly large now that…hey, what is another 800 billion dollars? But really…but don’t lie to us.This weekend Saturday Night Live revisited one of its more beloved sketches, “Bill Brasky.” The revamped sketch involved host Paul Rudd, SNL legend Will Ferrell, current SNL cast member Taran Killam, and the hilarious David Koechner. Trey: Really, Congress, really?! I mean first of all, who is going to read a bill that requires a fork lift to pick it up…I mean really?īrandi: Really! And Republicans, I realize you think Obama is the anti-Christ and this bill will set up a one world order, but do you have an alternative plan? No…No you don’t …so really? What are we suppose to do here? Stand back and just watch a broken system continue to cost the government and taxpayers money while a majority of Americans loose jobs and healthcare benefits…I mean, Really?! I mean, I know you have health care that works for you and you are speaking for people you really can’t relate to and all, but I mean, Really?! Even a haiku explaining a better health care alternative would be helpful, at this point…Really! This brings us to the news segment we like to call… Tuesday night, President Obama addressed the nation concerning the current health reform bill and the current war strategies. Spoof on SNL’s Really?! Skit: Health Care Reform Bill We call our spoof: “Really?! With Trey & Brandi”. This is our spoof on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update skit called “Really?! With Seth and Amy”. Custom Health Plans has decided to share our thoughts about the current issues concerning the health reform bill and how it will affect Texas health insurance plans and benefits.
